Bloodline Ability
This Bloodline ability has not yet been unveiled to you.
Physical Description
Mimzy is a slender kobold a little under three feet tall, and by any kobold's measure she is lovely, which she would tell you is a kind thing to say and not true. Her scales are a soft lilac purple that turns to pale cream along her throat, her belly, and the underside of her tail. Her ear frills are long and pointed and blush pink at the edges, and a fine line of cream spines runs from her brow back over her head and down her tail. Her eyes are very large and violet under long dark lashes. Her hair is the striking part: thick, dark, and curling, worn in one long braid over her shoulder and threaded with little gold beads and rings, with loose curls she lets fall forward over her face whenever someone looks at her for too long. She dresses neatly and in her own work: a cream blouse with puffed sleeves, a deep purple dress embroidered in gold, and a cream linen apron worked with sprigs of lavender. A leather pouch on her hip bristles with pins, a pair of gold scissors hangs from her belt beside a yellow tape measure, and she is nearly always carrying a stack of folded cloth, held up in front of her like a shield.
Mimzy believes that she is hideously ugly. She is not, everyone who has ever met her has tried to tell her so, and she has a sad, polite little smile for each of them that means she knows they are only being kind. She does not own a mirror. The one that came with her shop is turned to the wall with a bolt of muslin over it. She sews with her back to the window, hides behind her curls when she is looked at, and steers every compliment straight back to the speaker's clothes ("Oh, but your collar's turned, here, let me..."). What she cannot do for herself, she does for everyone else: she makes people beautiful, carefully and fiercely, because, as she puts it, somebody in the room ought to be. Her other great conviction is about laundry. Half of Goodberry cleans its clothes with cheap enchanted gems that cast Prestidigitation, and Mimzy will not hear a word in their favor. A gem gets the dirt out, she says, but it leaves cloth smelling of nothing at all, like a room nobody lives in. Clean, to Mimzy, smells of soap and sunshine and wind, and she will die on that washing line.

A gem gets the dirt out. It doesn't put the sun in. Here, smell that. That's a whole afternoon of wind, that is. You can't get that out of a rock.
Oh, don't. You don't have to say that. Hold still, your hem's down at the back. There. Now you look lovely, and that's the only thing in this room that matters.
Three weeks of stitching, and I tore it all into strips that night and sent it down the branches to Tubbin. I'd do it again. I'm making them new ones now, better ones, and this time they're actually going to get to wear them.
- Linen fresh off the line, still warm from the sun
- A customer who stands up straighter at a fitting
- Good thread, waxed with Nibbin's beeswax
- Rain on the shop roof with nowhere to be
- Purple, in every shade there is
- Mirrors, and shop windows that act like them
- Prestidigitation gems and the people who swear by them
- Being looked at for longer than a moment
- Big, loud, muscle-bound kobolds
- A seam sewn with a single, lazy stitch
