Ulun'Shar

Real Name: Ulun'Shar (Oo-loon-shar)

Common Name: The Hollow

Domains: Death, Rebirth, the Veil, Forgotten Truths

Visibility: The Hollow is never fully visible. It manifests as an eclipse, a void that overlaps other moons, especially during moments of death, prophecy, or transition. Some believe it doesn't orbit at all, but “arrives.”

Proximity: Uncertain. Observers cannot agree whether it is near or impossibly far. Telescopes fail to track it. It leaves no reflection, but casts a cold lightless shadow across Nexora’s soul.

Appearance: A perfect black circle, rimmed faintly in starlight. Looks more like a hole in the sky than a moon. When present, sound is muffled and the temperature drops sharply.

Mythic Role: Said to be the end of all things, the gate between life and the next unknown. Priests whisper that Ulun'Shar isn’t a moon at all, but the empty socket where the first god’s eye once watched the world. It sees no living thing, only what comes after.

Mechanical Influence: While The Hollow is manifest, death-related spells and effects function as if cast at +2 caster level. However, any resurrection requires an additional offering: either a rare memory, a name, or a year of your lifespan. Undead gain temporary hit points equal to their HD.

Tied Realms or Moons: Connected to the Echoing Hollow, a mirror-plane where forgotten dead drift as memories. Time moves backward here. Travelers often return younger… and missing things they didn’t know they’d lost.
